Cat Cafe to Open This Summer in Montreal

Posted February 03, 2014 in A Pet's Life

Yes, you read that correctly! Café Chat l’Heureux will be the first Cat Café in North America and is set to open this summer in Montreal, Quebec, as reported by Michael D’Alimonte of MTL Blog. Originating in Asia, the concept behind cat cafés is to raise awareness about the treatment of animals and encourage cat adoption. Clément Marty took this idea from Japan and South Korea and brought it to Montreal.

Of course the café will have everything a regular café has — coffee, tea, pastries, etc. — but with a twist! There will be cats walking, napping, purring, and cuddling all around while you sip your beverage.

So if you love coffee and cats, this might be your dreamland!
