Dogs Sent to Search for Nepal Earthquake Survivors

5 search and rescue dogs, along with 6 Southern Californian firefighters are headed to Nepal in hopes of saving lives, reported Maureen Naylor of  Fox KTVU.

5 of the dogs were l trained in Gilroy, California at Sundowners Kennels, run by manager and dog trainer, Kate Davern. They are now putting their training to the test.

Davern says, “They don’t understand that they’re being little heroes on four feet.” Those little heroes’ names are Riley, Pearl, Tanker, Ruby and Stetson.

“It’s amazing how deep a person can be buried and they can still smell them,” says Davern.
