Dog Born with Deformed Front Legs Runs for the First Time

Posted March 26, 2015 in A Pet's Life

You might want to grab the tissue box for this one! The adorable husky mix in the video below, posted by 3D Systems, is Derby, he was born with deformed front legs. Tara Anderson read his story and decided to be his foster mom. “I had to try and I had to try and help this dog.” Anderson explains she tried getting him a cart with wheels, but it ended up limiting his mobility. Her next idea was one that stuck: Derby got his very own pair of 3D printed prosthetics, allowing him to feel the sensation of running for the very first time.
